Heritage Club - Planned Giving
The Heritage Club is a group of individuals that have remembered the YMCA in their estate, for the long-term preservation of the YMCA.
You can join the Heritage Club by making a planned gift to the YMCA, or by making an outright gift of $1,000 or more to the YMCA's endowment.
Depending on the specific arrangement, a planned gift to the YMCA can create the following benefits:
- Income tax savings through a charitable deduction for the value of the gift;
- Avoidance of capital-gains tax on contributions of certain kinds of property (stock and real estate for example) that have increased in value over time;
- Income for life, for the donor and/or other beneficiaries;
- Elimination of federal estate tax on the value of a gift passing to the YMCA upon the donor's death;
- Reduced estate settlement costs.
