summertime Fun at the camarillo Family YMCA!
Congrats to all of our members, for making health and wellness a priority in your busy lives! We'll be recognizing some SUPERstars all summer, for their extra efforts- whether it's meeting a fitness goal, or attending 6 morning swim sessions in a row- you could be the next SUPERstar. Check back to see the weekly winners (announced Mondays starting June 16), and if it's you, make sure to stop by the Welcome Desk for your certificate and to get your picture taken for proper recognition!
Summertime BINGO!
Starting on June 16th, members can sign up at the Welcome Center to participate in the summer-long BINGO game at the Camarillo Family YMCA. Cards will be distributed (one per family), and numbers drawn each weekday morning. Numbers will be posted in the lobby, and prizes will be awarded for all BINGO winners from June 16th until September 19th. When a winner is announced, all BINGO game participants will be sent an email informing them that a new game is starting. The only way to get each day’s number is to come into the Y, so don’t miss a single opportunity to get an added bonus to a great workout!
Sunday Swim Days
Every Sunday is a Fun-day at the Camarillo Family YMCA!
Celebrate the summertime sun (after all, that's where "Sunday" got its name!) with your friends and family at the Camarillo Family YMCA pool. Swim some laps, splash in the water, or catch some rays. The choice is yours, and the day will be a blast!

Enrich Your Mind, Body and Spirit with a trip to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
As a special thanks to our members, the Channel Islands YMCA has formed a partnership with the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. With this collaboration, members of the Channel Islands YMCA will receive $2 off admission to the Museum of Natural History's summer shows – GIANTS: African Dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum and CAMOUFLAGE at the Ty Warner Sea Center.
Both shows are running now through November 2008, and promise to be an exciting experience for everyone!

Take a Vacation at the YMCA!
July 27 to August 2
Is the price of oil putting a crimp in your travel plans this summer? Well, you don’t have to look much farther than 3111 Village at the Park Drive for a taste of the tropics. From July 27 to August 2, we invite you to “Take a Vacation at the Y,” as we bring the South Seas to Southern California. We’ll deck the place out and provide tropical treats and surprises, so make sure you don’t miss it! Members are encouraged to join the fun by wearing Hawaiian-inspired workout wear all week. The most festive outfit is sure to get a nod for a Big Kahuna SUPERstar award.
Get your Passport to Fun on Monday, 7/28, and get it stamped each time you come in during "Take a Vacation Week." Members with 3 or more stamps on their passport can bring it in the following week (8/4-8/10) to be entered in a drawing taking place on 8/11. The grand prize is a gift certificate to Aloha Steakhouse!

As an extra special treat, make sure you come to the Y on Friday, 8/1, between 4pm and 5pm for Shave-It Hawaiian Ice, a fundraiser for the Camarillo Family YMCA Youth and Government program!
