This onsite-based camp features activities including swimming, science adventures, arts, crafts, and much more. This camp is offered in two week sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Please send campers with a snack and a sack lunch. Traditional CampsThis camp for children entering Kindergarten and First grade offers your child age-appropriate and exciting adventures in the outdoors as well as new learning experiences in small groups. Your child will gain self confidence, make new friends, participate in outdoor recreation activities, attend one or two field trips per week, and develop awareness for the environment. Each week is designed to give campers a chance to experience different activities, field trips, sports, crafts, and more. The weekly themes will influence the field trips, and onsite activities. SPECIALTY CAMPSSplish Splash, we’re having a blast! This super swim camp is designed for the beginning to intermediate swimmer. Camp begins with morning swim lessons, followed by onsite entertainment, arts & crafts, sports, and open swim. Campers must wear swim suit, and bring a towel to camp daily. We’ve got spirit, yes we do! This highly energetic camp offers aspiring cheerleaders basic instruction in choreographed dances, various cheer routines, and the basics of tumbling. Campers will learn a routine they perform for their families on Friday. Let the creativity flow! Campers will experiment with different mediums and create unique arts and crafts projects, while also participating in fun camp activities such as games, skits, and songs. A new project will be presented daily, with many fun things for campers to take home at the end of the week. For the kid who likes to be on the go! Campers are given the opportunity to decide as a group what each session’s onsite and offsite activities will include, learning team building and group skill development. Your camper will make great eats, and enjoy some yummy treats. They'll learn culinary safety, cooking techniques, and nutrition, while assisting in the planning of the menu for the week. Lunch will be provided daily. Your young chef will also walk away with a cookbook they created! All future space explorers seeking fun and adventure must attend this camp! We will be blasting off to far away galaxies where danger is always around the corner, training in the futuristic sport of laser-tag, learning basic astronomy, hiking free trails to explore new worlds, and more! Campers will learn how to rescue others, play lifeguard games, and have fun! This camp will be held at the Camarillo Family YMCA, but campers will have the opportunity to visit the beach during one of the days of camp. All participants will also be eligible to receive a First Aid card from the American Red Cross. In this fun-filled, camp, young scientists will explore science and how it affects the world around them. Water, weather, volcanoes, earthquakes, and the mysteries of minerals are just the beginning. The forces of the world come together in one exciting day devoted to gravity, inertia and energy. Campers become Jr. engineers and investigate structures, simple machines, and even how stunt planes fly. Soccer camp is a great place for children to learn the sport for the first time or sharpen their skills from our qualified soccer camp staff. This camp emphasizes skill building through drills, group discussions, scrimmages, and most of all, teamwork. The focus is to raise self esteem of every player through teamwork!
