Family Time

Families come in all sizes and shapes and so do YMCA Family Programs. Our programs strengthen family ties by offering a safe, welcoming environment for kids and parents to communicate, cooperate, and have fun. Family programs include health and fitness activities, pool and gym activities, family nights, camping, and other events. Join the YMCA as a family—you'll be glad you did!

Birthday Parties

Check out the YMCA for your next party! We offer packages that include a party room, indoor swimming pool, kids’ gym time, an indoor play structure, and a complimentary ymca birthday t-shirt for the guest of honor. Open to members and non-members.

Adventure Guides

YMCA Adventure Guides (formerly Indian Guides and Princesses) is a nationwide YMCA parent/child programs designed for boys and girls aged 4-16. The Adventure Guides experience enables parents and kids to have fun while sharing new, healthy, learning adventures.

Family Events/Programs

In addition, our Youth and Family Services branch offers four programs to assist local families:

Isla Vista Teen Center serves as a drop-in center for young people, away from gang activities, alcohol and drugs providing quality after school programs.

My Home at Artisan Court provides transitional housing to youth ages 18-21 that age out of foster care facing homelessness.

Noah’s Anchorage Youth Crisis Shelter, an eight-bed licensed group home, providing temporary shelter for foster children, runaway and homeless youth, and young people in crisis ages 10-17

Support and Outreach Services reaches out to youth living on the streets of our community, offering basic needs assistance, counseling, case management, and referral services as well as assistance with housing information, job search and life skills.
