Families come in all sizes and shapes and so do YMCA Family Programs. Our programs strengthen family ties by offering a safe, welcoming environment for kids and parents to communicate, cooperate, and have fun. Family programs include health and fitness activities, pool and gym activities, family nights, camping, and other events. Join the YMCA as a family—you'll be glad you did!
New events are coming to the Y for family fun! If you have any suggestions on what you would like the Y to offer in means of Family Fun Nights email Stephanie Saucedo, Associate Program Director at stephanie.saucedo@ciymca.org or Opal Andreatta, Kid's Corner Lead at opal.andreatta@ciymca.org. Thank you for your input!
Family Events are for the whole family. We take outings, learn new sports, have community scavenger hunts and as always, have a blast. Dances have dinners provided as well as a free picture booth to remember your night with your loved one. All ages are welcome and bonding is encouraged. Want to see something specific at a family event? Stop by the front desk and leave a suggestion in our suggestion box. Make time for your family and join us at our family events!
This is a program designed with your kids in mind. Children spend time without their parents in a controlled environment. All staff are CPR and first aid certified and trained to take care of your children. Dinner is provided with age appropriate games and activities. Children should be dressed comfortably and ready to play in kids gym. Get ready for a night of free time for you, and fun for your children. We sometimes wind down the night with a movie, so pillows and blankets are welcomed. So enjoy yourselves parents, and know your children are having a fun night!
We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why, through the Y, youth are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. We offer dances, health classes, and have clinics on new sports in the area. Want to spruce up your resume for college? We plan community service projects and even offer classes to get CPR and First Aid certified.
