Kids are back in school and now it’s time for YOU to GET BACK TO CLASS! Bring a friend and try out one of our Group Exercise Classes with over 480 available weekly Group Exercise Classes throughout our six branches in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

From September 15-October 15, we are offering our community 10 COMPLIMENTARY Group Exercise passes to a Channel Islands Y of your choosing! From Zumba to Pilates…from Cycling to Yoga…from Tai Chi to Body Pump, we have a class for EVERYBODY!


  • Child watch services while you work out so you don’t have to worry about supervision for your little ones
  • Join and have access to EVERY YMCA in Southern California
  • Three FREE personal fitness consultations when you join to help you define your fitness needs and keep you on track!

With YMCA Group Exercise classes, the motivation and support received from all the participants and the instructor in the class is like no other! With the variety of classed you will have plenty of classes to choose from based on YOUR fitness needs. Group Exercise classes have a lot of mental and physical health benefits.      2.   Check out the Group Exercise Schedule and pick a class to attend!

     3.   Pick up a GET BACK TO CLASS card at the front desk (the Front Desk will scan this card to track your visits, so please bring with you for each visit)

     4.   Please bring a valid photo ID

Like all Y programs, health, well-being and fitness is open to all, with financial assistance available.

Fitness Consultation and Equipment Orientation

We provide orientations for you and your teens so you can feel confident working out on our cardio and strength training equipment. You will meet with a fitness trainer one-on-one, or if you prefer, you can sign up together with your friend, spouse or teen. Depending on your experience, the trainer will meet with you up to six times in order for you to feel safe and confident to continue on your own. Parents of children ages 12-17 years must sign the Parent Consent form prior to their child participating in an orientation. This unique feature is included in your membership, so sign up at the Member Service Center today! 

Group Exercise Classes

We offer over 49 group exercise classes every week including Zumba®, Zumba Step®, yoga, pilates, Kettlebell Plus, group cycling, water aerobics and more! All these classes are included in your membership, so come join a class today, make some friends, get a great work out, and have some fun! Click here for our most current schedule.  

Personal Training

Our personal trainers are ready to meet with you today! Some of our personal training programs include body composition, comprehensive fitness assessment, and single and group packages. Our trainers are certified professionals and great to work with. Click here for pricing and information. 

Kids Cardio Club

We realize that kids need activity and exercise and we want to provide a safe, accepting environment for them. Full facility youth members ages 8-11 can join our Kids Cardio Club. Kids will be able to use the cardio equipment and group exercise classes with direct supervision of a parent or guardian after an orientation and fee of $10. Sign up at the Member Service Center today! 

Teen Certification

For your safety, all teens between the ages of 12-17 must pass our Teen Certification prior to using our cardio or strenghth trining equipment. Those 12-13 must attend training and pass the exam. Teens 14-17 can choose to participate in the training or successfully complete an exit exam.

Aqua Aerobics and Lap Swimming

Access to the Lompoc Aquatic Center is now included in your membership! You can enjoy aqua aerobics classes for ages 18 and up, and lap swimming for ages 14 and up. Come get an aqua pass from the Member Service Center today! Click here for the pool schedules. (Please note: Due to yearly maintenance, the Lompoc Aquatic Center will be closed from November 26 - January 4.) 

Self Defense

This interactive program provides realistic self-defense techniques for adults in a safe, encouraging environment. This is a comprehensive course that discusses awareness, prevention, and risk reduction. Click here for the flyer!
