Kids' Korner Babysitting

Our caring staff create a fun, safe environment for your children. There are many activities to choose from including outside play area, weekly crafts, large motor play equipment and books. Our staff are all CPR certified and many are parents themselves. Visits are limited to two hours or less, once per day. Parents must remain in the YMCA facility while their children are in Kids' Korner. We require all parents to abide by the sign-in/ sign-out policy. Staff may request a photo ID for the safety of your child(ren). For more information, please contact the Youth Program Director. Kids' Korner is included with Family and Single-Parent Family Memberships. Fees for other participants are listed below:

Ages: 3 months - 10 years
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

10 visit pass: Adult Member $20, Community Member $50

Kids' Gym

Come in and check out our all new SPORTWALL! Your kids will love moving in this new, simple to learn, interactive environment. Shoot some hoops, climb a wall, create and explore an obstacle course and take a ride on our giant slide, all while under the supervision of our trained and caring staff. Come and take a look at our bright, colorful and active room with a variety of equipment designed just for kids. For more information please contact the Youth Program Director.

• Kids' Gym is included in Family and Single Parent Family Memberships.
• An adult, over the age of 18, must sign children ages 5 - 12 in and out of the Kids' Gym and remain in the facility.
• Visits are limited to 2 hours for children ages 5 - 12.
• The Kids' Gym is designed for children ages 5 - 12. Children 3 - 5 years old may attend Open Kids' Gym, but visits must be limited to 30 minutes. An actively participating parent must stay with children 3-5 at all times.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 3:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Parents' Night Out

Wouldn't it be great to have a fun evening where you get to escape to dinner or a movie? Your children can have a great time in a safe, fun environment with trained YMCA staff. Children are provided pizza, healthy snacks, themed games and activities and fun play in the Kids' Gym. For more information, contact the Youth Program Director. This program is subject to cancellation 48 hours in advance due to low enrollment.

Ages: 3 - 12 year olds (must be potty trained)
Dates/Times: Every 3rd Friday of the month, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Del Mar Branch Room
Fee: Member $20 per child, Community Member $30 per child

Childcare on School Holidays

The YMCA offers all day care from 7:30am to 6:00pm on school holidays and weeklong breaks. Days includes arts and crafts, sports, kids gym play, swimming, and more. Prices vary by day and week. Contact the Youth Program Director with any questions.

The Santa Barbara Family YMCA is introducing a new rate schedule for the 2008-2009 school year. Please carefully read the information below:

Packages & Rates

Year Round Plan (12 months) - includes 5 days/week of After-School Care, Fun Days, Spring, Winter, and Summer Camps.

Full Time Plan – includes 5 days/week of After-School Care. (Fun Days and Camps are an additional charge)

Part Time Plan – includes 3 days/week of After-School Care, predetermined. (Fun Days and Camps are an additional charge)

Fees and Payments
Electronic Fund Draft (EFT) is required for all participants in childcare programs. Tuition can be withdrawn from Checking Accounts or Credit Cards. Withdrawals are made on the 6th or 20th of each month. Please fill out the EFT form attached to registration packet and return with registration.

YMCA Preschool

We are a year round program that runs July 2009-June2010.  Spaces are limited and going fast!

We currently have room for children between the ages of 3-5 and who are potty trained.

Come learn with us! Our preschool creative play curriculum includes ample opportunities for children to explore the world around them inside the classroom, outdoors, in our YMCA Kids' Gym, and YMCA POOL.  Swim lessons are included in the tuition for children who are completely potty trained.  We have five classrooms and two pre-kindergarten programs that focus on the child and their emotional and social development.  At the Santa Barbara Family YMCA preschool, we pride ourselves on relationships with the entire family. We understand that a child needs the consistency and support of everyone involved in his or her life. We have monthly family events where everyone is welcome!

Below is a link for our Waiting List Form. Our minimum age we take is 2 ½ It is never too early to put your child on our list. Adding your child to the waiting list does not guarantee an opening.

The YMCA has a Scholarship Fund to assist families who qualify.  This fund is available thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations to our Campaign for Youth, The William & Lottie Daniel Childcare Scholarship Fund, and the Orfalea Fund.  Applications for scholarships are available at the front desk or Preschool Office.  Scholarships are only for the dates designated on your scholarship approval form.  Parents who qualify for scholarships but fail to meet standards, policies and rules of the Preschool will be declined scholarship with no warning.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) - An easy way to pay as you go, monthly tuition is automatically withdrawn from a checking, savings account or credit card.
