Chuck Pira

Chuck Pira has been an involved with the Channel Islands YMCA as an Annual Campaigner, among other things, for 30 years.  His favorite thing about the YMCA is knowing that the Y contributes to the health of all members of the community no matter ones ethnic background or status of wealth. 

Chuck is past board chair of our branch, our current Heritage Club Chair and serves on the Property Committee, Board Development Committee and capital Campaign Cabinet as Major gifts Chair.  He is also the past recipient of the Channel Islands YMCA Golden Triangle Award, the highest honor given in our YMCA.

Chuck has 5 children- three boys and two girls with a total of 5 grandchildren.  He is retired and likes to golf and watch sports, and her loves to read and travel.  Be it vacation with the family or taking on various positions with the Y and other non-profit organizations, chuck loves retirement for the flexibility it gives him to do what he can when he wants.
