Group Cycling Challenge- May 1st to May 31st
Our Y Tour of California begins in May! The first stage begins May 1st and the last stage is May 31st. There will be a sign up sheet and map located in the Studio. Once you sign up on a number, that flag will track your progress. Each class will count as a stage, so be sure to sign in at every class!
Memorial Day- May 27
The Ventura Family YMCA will closed on May 27th in observance of Memorial Day!
Senior Day- May 29
Every year more than 100,000 active older adults participate at more than 1,000 locations throughout the U.S. in Nation Senior Health and Fitness Day. This year, the Ventura Family YMCA is celebrating with a Longevity Expo, catered lunch and keynote speaker. The common goal for this day is to help keep older Americans healthy and fit, and of course, have some fun while we’re at it! National Senior Health and Fitness Day is the nation’s largest annual health promotion event for older adults!
Couch to 5K- Starting June 3rd
JOIN US... for 5K group training sessions led by an experienced trainer! Starts Monday, June 3rd from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. $100 for Members, $230 for Program Members price includes entrance fee for the Fun & Fitness 5K on July 27! This is an amazing way to improve your health, weight loss and great starting point for your training for the 5K! Do this all while enjoying guided outdoor runs around beautiful Ventura! SUPER SUMMER SHAPE UP!- June 3rd -June 28th
Join us for intense interval training bootcamp! Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00am. This is a small, personal group training, so, space is limited. Partaciapants will do interval training, body weight exercises, kettle bells, free weights, all to PROMOTE ACCELERATED WEIGHT LOSS!! Contact Patrick Lynch with any questions!
YMCA Camp Fox- July 7-13
YMCA Camp Fox activities include a climbing wall, low and high ropes challenge course, leap of faith, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, gaga pit, hiking, Ping Pong, aquarium study pools, field games, campfires, skits, songs, dances, chapels and lots of special fun designed for each age level each week.
YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake Away Camp- July 21-26
Over 900 acres of forest surrounded by Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks make YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake the perfect location to explore the great outdoors, develop confidence and make memories that will last a lifetime!YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake activities include: sailing, high and low ropes course, mountain biking, rock climbing, archery, swimming, outpost camping, fishing, visit to the National Park, painting, crafts, soccer, basketball, campfires, canoeing, hiking, creek walks, field games, skits, songs, chapels, and personal leadership and development. Campers will share cabins with friends and meet new cabinmates from other Ys providing an opportunity for your child to create new and lasting memories with campers from all over Southern California.
