Looking for a fresh start this year? Need a little help getting fit or losing weight? Concerned about your health? Join the YMCA. The YMCA offers Y FIT (Y Fitness Intro Training) to all members. We'll work with you, side by side to help you determine your goals and create a plan to reach those goals. As a member, you'll also have access to a wide variety of group exercise classes ranging from beginner exerciser to advanced fitness enthusiast. You'll have access to group exercise classes, cardio, weights, and so much more.  couple exercising

The YMCA is not just a gym though. Fitness is one aspect of what Y members become a part of when they join. The Y has volunteering opportunities, special events, and educational programs for the community. We offer development opportunities for teens, enrichment programs for children, social time for seniors and family times to build stronger bonds between kids and parents. To top it off, the Y is one of the largest charities in the nation. All are welcome at the Y!  

Our promise is to strengthen communities and to do so we open our doors to all and offer financial assistance to ensure everyone in the community finds a sense of belonging in the YMCA family.

Try Y FIT 

Y FIT (Fitness Introduction Training) partners you up with a FIT trainer and provides you with fitness essentials to help you hit the ground running with increased confidence.

With the help of our highly trained fitness staff, Y FIT is a program which helps you set attainable goals and provides an easy-to-follow exercise plan. Our FIT trainers will guide you through our 3-step program to encourage your success. Each session culminates in a 30-minute workout with your FIT trainer.

Session 1: Get Started
In order to help you achieve your fitness goals, it’s important for us get to know you.
The goals of this session are to:

  • Get to know your fitness coach and begin your fitness journey!
  • Uncover your goals and expectations to develop a realistic action plan.

Session 2: Let’s Get Personal
You’ve begun exercising and you’re starting to get comfortable. After spending some time on your own, it’s natural to have some questions.
The goals of this session are to:

  • Introduce you to your recommended personalized exercise program.
  • Answer any questions you may have about exercises, equipment or our facilities.

Session 3: Make it Last
You’ve gained momentum and confidence and have begun to implement your fitness program. This session will help you recognize and overcome the most common obstacles to healthy living.
The goals of this session are to:

  • Review your goals with your FIT trainer.
  • Strategize to uncover additional programs that will ensure your continued success at the Y.

To get started on your FITness journey, register for your first Y FIT session at Member Services (program included in all Y memberships.)

With a focus on developing the potential of kids, improving individual health and well-being, and giving back and supporting our neighbors, your membership will bring about meaningful change not just within yourself, but in your community as well.
