Off-Site Childcare

General Information

The Ventura Family YMCA offers a wide range of school-age childcare programs to meet every family’s needs. Sites are conveniently located on school campuses in the Ventura Unified & Rio School Districts. The YMCA is the only licensed on-site childcare provider at each elementary school and all programs are regulated under California Community Care Licensing and exceed all requirements mandated by the state.

The school-age childcare program is designed to provide a safe & fun experience for elementary age children.

School Break Child Care

The Ventura Family YMCA provides child care during school breaks for Ventura and Oxnard Unified School Districts.  Download schedules and registration forms online.  The payment for each break or session must be made in full prior to attendance.  Participants must enroll for and pay for the full week of breaks; partial session enrollment is not available.

The YMCA childcare program is closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, Christmas, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.  YMCA childcare sites are also closed the last two days of the school year for staff training & site setup for the Summer Day Camp Program.

Financial Assistance is available from funds through our Campaign for Youth.
