Campers share cabins with friends and meet new cabin mates from other Channel Islands YMCA’s! Cabin activities lead by both campers and counselors follow our Character Counts! Program. Some activities include archery, crafts, lake swimming, hiking, and rock climbing wall, campfires, the YMCA Rags Program and non denominational chapel. 5 Reasons to Choose YMCA Camp
- Experience: This year, the YMCA celebrates 159 years in the United States. Also, the YMCA was the first organization to offer organized camping in 1886 at Camp Dudley, New York.
- Supervision: Camp counselors are selected, trained, and supervised to help your camper have a terrific experience.
- Safety: The safety and welfare of each camper is the YMCA’s highest priority.
- Quality: Our campers learn camp skills, enjoy the great outdoors, make new friends, grow closer together, feel good about themselves, and have a great time at camp.
- Scholarships: The YMCA has special funds to assist families in managing the cost of the camp. Scholarships are available and have been made possible through the generosity of the Emilie L. Lane Camp Foundation, Santa Barbara Foundation, YMCA Campaign for Youth, and the Kids to Camp Campaign. Applications for assistance are available at the YMCA and on our website.
