Kids Night Out at the Y are evening where kids can have a blast at the Y playing games, making crafts, and meeting new friends while parents can enjoy an evening of their own around town. Visit our Kids Night Out page for upcoming dates! 

Youth Fitness

Does your child’s daily schedule encourage physical fitness, or is your child stuck in a rut that leaves little time for physical activity? Regular physical activity can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions. Unfortunately, reduced activity during school hours combined with increasingly busy and plugged-in lives means that parents, teachers and educators need to work harder than ever to make sure kids are moving their bodies and reaping the benefits of physical activity.

That’s why the Y is here to help!

Kids Cardio Club at the YMCA provides a safe, accepting environment for kids to discover new workouts and become familiarized with exercise equipment we have in our facility. Parents and kids can work out together too! As a matter of fact, exercising with parents helps kids develop lifelong habits and instill a desire for good health.  After registration and an orientation, kids can use selected cardio equipment with direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
