Available positions can range from management and administration to programs, facilities, and camp. Most of our available positions are in these areas:
After school and child care (working with children in grades K-6)
Aquatics (positions such as lifeguarding and swim instructor) Fitness/wellness (positions such as personal trainer and group exercise)
RETIREMENT:The Channel Islands Association pays 8% of the candidate’s salary to the Y retirement fund, once eligibility requirements are met.
HEALTH BENEFITS: YMCA pays for 86% of the full-time employee-only HMO medical premium.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:Dental, vision, life insurance, LTD and various supplemental plans. YMCA pays 52% of the full-time employee-only HMO dental premium.
BENEFIT PLAN:Medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts available under IRS Section 125.
LIFE INSURANCE:The Y provides $25,000 basic life insurance and a core Long-term disability plan in the amount of 50% of monthly salary after 180 days of disability, at no cost to the employee. Employee-paid buy-up options are available.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Some positions eligible for additional trainings, certifications, and educational opportunities, according to CEO/Executive Director discretion.
VACATION – PAID TIME OFF: Full time employees accrue 10-20 vacation days per year based on years of service

RETIREMENT: All employees are eligible to participate in the tax-deferred savings plan by opening a 403(b) Smart Account.
SICK – PAID TIME OFF: Part-time employees earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, after 90 day intro period.
