Healthy Kids Day
Healthy Kids Day is the Y's largest national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. The nationwide event is a powerful reminder not to let children idle away their summer, but, instead, focus on physical and mental play. Research has shown that kids who are less physically active and engaged in learning during the summer months gain weight up to three times faster than during the school year, and often fall behind academically because they don't have access to out-of-school learning opportunities. At the Y, we’re proud to offer classes, programs and activities that keep families - especially kids - learning, growing and thriving all year long.
