Active Older Adults
It’s never too late to feel great! Our Active Older Adult (AOA) program offers a comprehensive and integrated program that encourages members to remain strong in the areas of physical, emotional, social, vocational, and intellectual well-being. Active Older Adult is for all seniors looking to start or maintain a fitness program. Feel great at any age!
This class is perfect for those that may be apprehensive or intimidated to go into a regular yoga class. Using a chair for support, balance, strength, and flexibility you will experience a great workout.
Have fun while conditioning your whole body. We will walk you through arm exercises, leg exercises, and basic low impact dance routines. You’ll have lots of fun while you smile with new friends!
FIT FOR LIFE
Check out this total body wellness program. Our volunteer instructors bring years of experience, knowledge and caring in a personable manner. Not only will you improve your cardio, strength, and flexibility to the sounds of pleasant music, but you will very quickly feel like you belong to our Y family.
This class involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing in accordance with Chinese tradition.
This class focuses on strengthening the muscles for everyday activities and maintaining a range of motion. Most exercises are performed seated in a chair or standing next to, and holding onto a chair for support. Tools used are small exercise balls, resistance bands, and hand-held weights.
