Active Older Adults
It’s never too late to feel great! Our Active Older Adult (AOA) program is for everyone. AOA strives to offer a comprehensive and integrated program that encourages members to remain strong in the areas of physical, emotional, social, vocational, and intellectual well-being. Program is for all seniors looking to start or maintain a fitness program. Feel great at any age!
Using the chair for support, balance, strength and flexibility. This class is perfect for those that may be apprehensive or intimidated to go into a regular yoga class.
Have fun while conditioning the whole body. Keith will take you through arm exercises, leg exercises and move you through basic low impact dance routines. You’ll have lots of fun while you meet new friends!
FIT FOR LIFE
Check out this total body wellness program. Our volunteer instructors bring years of experience, knowledge and caring in a personable manner. Not only will you improve your cardio, strength and flexibility to the sounds of pleasant music, but you will very quickly feel like you belong here and a familiarity with your fellow participants.
Low Impact Water Exercise
This class is taught in warm water with slow movements and joint movement. This class is perfect for mature adults who want to exercise in the water without stressing their muscles or joints. This is designed for those individuals suffering from arthritis, fibromyalgia and other special sensitivities such as stress, the need to start an exercise program or those recovering from illness or injury. This class will be offered in the therapy pool, which maintains a wonderful temperature at 90 degrees.
This class involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing in accordance to Chinese tradition. View Schedule Here
This class focuses on strengthening the muscles for everyday activities and maintaining a range of motion. Most exercises are performed seated in a chair or standing next to, and holding onto a chair for support. Tools used are small exercise balls, resistance bands and hand-held weights.
