Healthy Kids Day

Join us on April 27 from 10am-12pm at the Y to celebrate Healthy Kids Day, our national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids.
We will have fun under the sun yoga, an obstacle course, and bounce house. Kids can even get creative with face painting! Don’t miss this chance to meet your local fire department and register for summer camp!

Let’s awaken their imagination so they can explore new activities and healthy habits. This event is free and open to the public!

School’s out and it’s time to relax, decompress and have fun with friends. Summer is the time for kids to get up, get out and grow. But for some kids, exposure to activities that stimulate the body and mind ends with the school year. In fact, research shows that kids are prone to gain more weight and fall behind in studies. Healthy Kids Day is the nation’s largest health day for children and families and Ys across the country host and celebrate this day dedicated to promoting education, activities and experiences that teach good health and foster connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests, so youth and families in 10,000 communities achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit, mind and body.
