Active Older Adults

It’s never too late to feel great! Our Active Older Adult (AOA) program is for everyone. AOA strives to offer a comprehensive and integrated program that encourages members to remain strong in the areas of physical, emotional, social, vocational, and intellectual well-being. Program is for all seniors looking to start or maintain a fitness program. Feel great at any age!

Senior Strength 

Senior Strength invites you to join a community of seniors and active aging adults for a total-body workout appropriate for any fitness level. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and balance. Light hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a bender ball are offered for resistance. Class may incorporate both standing and seated exercises; a chair will be used for seated/standing support. This class is designed for active aging adults that want to maintain and improve their fitness level.

Tai Chi

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of flowing movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. The movements are usually circular and never forced, the muscles are relaxed rather than tensed, the joints are not fully extended or bent, and connective tissues are not stretched. Tai Chi is easily adaptable to anybody’s skill and experience level.
