Senior Strength invites you to join a community of seniors and active aging adults for a total-body workout appropriate for any fitness level. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and balance. Light hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a bender ball are offered for resistance. Class may incorporate both standing and seated exercises; a chair will be used for seated/standing support. This class is designed for active aging adults that want to maintain and improve their fitness level.
Yin Yoga will wake up, lengthen and strengthen your muscles, body and mind with an invigorating vinyasa practice followed by a series of floor postures held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. It emphasizes stillness and silence, and prepares both the body and the mind for a deeper experience in meditation.
