California Caravan

July 9 – 14

Hit the road in the Caravan as we explore all Mammoth Lakes has to offer and whitewater raft the American River. This fun-filled adventure is full of opportunities for personal growth. Camp Orientation will be at the Santa Barbara Family YMCA July 5 at 6:30pm.

Family Camp at Sequoia Lake

August 11 – 17

Enjoy a week-long adventure for the whole family. You’ll love hiking, swimming, rock climbing, fishing, and relaxing. Price includes lodging and meals, along with kid’s camps, arts and crafts, campfires and more. Registration must be paid in full by July 6, to register your family please visit our Welcome Center. Orientation will be at the Santa Barbara Family YMCA July 31 at 6pm.

An entire week on Catalina Island where campers stay in villas or cabins just steps away from the Pacific Ocean! YMCA Camp Fox activities include snorkeling (mask, fin, snorkel and wetsuit provided), kayaking, archery, swimming, tubing, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, climbing wall, low and high ropes challenge course, giant swing, leap of faith, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, Frisbee golf course, gaga pit, hiking, ping pong, aquarium study pools, touch tank aquarium, large slip n’ slide, tidepools, field games, campfires, skits, songs, dances, chapels and lots of special fun designed for all ages each week.

Over 900 acres of forest surrounded by Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks make YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake the perfect location to explore the great outdoors. YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake activities include: sailing, high and low ropes course, mountain biking, rock climbing, archery, swimming, outpost camping, fishing, visit to the National Park, painting, crafts, soccer, basketball, campfires, canoeing, hiking, creek walks, field games, skits, songs, chapels, and personal leadership and development. Campers will create new and lasting friendships in this environment that encourages heartfelt laughter, confidence building, interactive learning and personal growth.

2018 CAMPOUT has passed and a great time was had by all!  Be on the lookout for the 2019 Campout, tentatively to be held in February 2019.  Students grades 3-12 are invited to head out for a fun-filled night at the Ventura Family YMCA to both camps up for this summer’s camp and simply to hang out! This is an overnight lock-in program designed to provide a fun experience and to expose students to the Y’s Sleepaway opportunities!

More Summer Adventure Options

Youth Adventure Leadership Program (YALP) develops teens into leaders with an overnight backpacking trip and the opportunity to mentor campers. Community service hours will be granted upon completion. Please note there is an application process for this program. (At Camp Sequoia Lake)
