Benefits of cycling

Cycling combines all the fun of group fitness with simple, low impact exercise, making it a great choice for all fitness levels. Using stationary bikes, instructors will change resistance levels and speed.

  • Low risk of injury: A low impact workout that is easy on your joints and is recommended for active older adults or those with an injury.
  • Get in Shape: Tone your body and burn fat by strengthening your leg and abdominal muscles.
  • Improve Your Health: Cardiovascular training builds up muscular endurance over time leading to a lower heart rate, improved lung capacity and higher energy levels.
  • Find Your Comfort Zone: A motivating group workout that you can control at your own pace.

Cycling Classes Offered

Cycle 45 

Get in great shape and build your endurance in one of the YMCA’s cycling classes! This class is 45 minutes of an ultimate low impact, high energy, calorie burning workout! We will guide you through the ride of your life. If you can ride a bike, you can cycle!

Cycle Sculpt

You may call or stop by the member service desk to reserve a bike as early as opening the day before your desired class time. You may sign-up other members of your household but not your friends or coworkers. Sign-ups are on a first come first serve basis. If you are unable to attend the class you are signed up for, please call to cancel your reserved spot so that others may have a chance to take the class.
