For a better you. For a better community. For a better tomorrow.
In addition to making a one-time cash or pledge donation over a period of time, there are other ways you can help.
Donate Your Car
We’re always looking for creative ways to fund our Open Doors Scholarship to help those in need, and the car donation program is just one of many. Through V-DAC, the Y can accept car donations and the process is simple:
For any donated vehicle, the Y will receive 60-80% of the net sales proceeds. Donations require no costs to the donor and may be tax-deductible. Additionally, V-DAC accepts all types of vehicles (running or not), including cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, boats, airplanes, and farm equipment. If you don’t have a proper title certificate, V-DAC will help you with any problems you may have.
For more information regarding the Channel Islands YMCA’s Car Donation program through V-DAC, email Jill Rode, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 805.569.1103 ext. 23.
Stocks or Property
To donate stock to the Y, follow these simple steps:
Initiate the Stock Transfer – Securities can be gifted through electronic transfer where your broker transfers shares to the YMCA or by physically mailing the paper certificates to the Y. For both, contact your broker to initiate the transfer.
Send the Securities to the Y
A great way to help Y activities is for individuals, families and companies to make in-kind donations. These donations of materials, services, or cash will allow us to stretch our dollars even further.
The Stuart C Gildred Family YMCA relies on the generosity of donors and sponsors to help us maintain and expand service to the people who need us most. In recognition of your generosity for supporting our special event programs, based on the level of sponsorship, we would include you/your company’s logo or name on a variety of promotional materials such as program banners, flyers, and social media. The use of these promotional items not only strengthens the awareness of the program but promotes your company’s philanthropic commitment to the community.
