The YMCA Heritage Club allows donors to make long-term gifts (legacy gifts) which provide the Y with a stable financial base and greater financial growth potential. Joining the YMCA Heritage Club leaves a meaningful impact on the donor’s community for years to come. Gift options can include will bequests, naming the YMCA as insurance beneficiary, charitable trusts, and cash gifts.
With planned giving, a donor can designate their gift to a specific facility, program, or make no distinction and allow the Y to use the gift where the need is greatest. Giving of one’s estate allows a donor to support the YMCA’s endowment fund, aligning the donor’s passions with the Y’s priorities and mission.
Children, families, those facing serious illness, those with special needs, and so on all benefit from Heritage Club gifts. The Y provides an array of programs to benefit these groups and no one is turned away because of financial constraints, allowing participants in need access to programs without financial burden.
Heritage Club Month is in October when the Y celebrates those individuals who have supported the mission of the YMCA by making an outright contribution to the endowment fund or included the YMCA in their estate plan.
