I am a fourteen year old girl in the ninth grade who has difficulty maintaining a healthy relationship with her parents. My mom contacted Noah’s Anchorage for a “cool off” from each other, which was supposed to last a couple days. As my mom and I’s communication was not improving and both of us agreed that me being at Noah’s was relieving stress, my status was extended. When I first came here I was completely against staying and I was more sure than anything else that I wanted to leave. But, as time progressed, I felt safe and supported here. I’ve met so many amazing people, residents and staff combined. I made some great friendships, which was a huge accomplishment because I was new to Santa Barbara. I’m not sure what I’d be doing or where I would be without Noah’s Anchorage.
