The Only One in Santa Barbara
My Home at The Lyons House opened during the spring of 2025 and is the only Transitional Housing Placement Program My Home at The Lyons House opened in spring 2025 and is the only Transitional Housing Placement Program (THPP) serving transitioning foster youth in Santa Barbara County. Referrals are accepted through the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services and the Juvenile Probation Department.
This transformative program was made possible through the generous donation of the home by Steve Lyons, with management support from the Santa Barbara Foundation. A complete renovation of the facility was funded through the generosity of Harry and Wendy Atturbury's Whimsie Fund. Together, we've created a safe, trauma-informed, supportive, and welcoming environment where young adults can build the skills and stability needed for a successful transition to independence.
