Every day the Y supports kids, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage. Everything we do helps empower our communities and the “us” who live in them to thrive.
The Y is committed to providing quality programs and facilities to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Every year we raise funds during our Annual Campaign to provide scholarships for camp, programs and membership. With the help of volunteers and the generosity of the community, we are able to provide more than $1 million dollars in scholarships annually.
The Y is one of the largest charities in the nation and a cause worth investing in. The Y is asking for help from the community to continue our vital work, such as:
LIVESTRONG at the Y – The Y and the LIVESTRONG® Foundation joined together to create LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals.
Third Grade Learn to Swim – The Y partners with elementary schools to offer free swim lessons. Together, in partnership with local schools, we are changing and saving children’s lives.
Open Doors Scholarships – At the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away. YMCA financial assistance is made possible through generous donations from individuals and foundations opening a world of YMCA programs and activities for all in the community.
Ways you can help:
Make a donation – Financial gifts of any amount will help to close the gap and help to strengthen our city by helping individuals and families become connected and supported.
Volunteer– reach out to your local branch to become a volunteer campaigner and help raise funds to benefit the Y.
