Youth Programs 


Through the Y’s programs for kids, we develop the values, skills, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement. Classes teach the fundamentals of program areas in a supportive environment. Programs at the Y encourage personal expression and the freedom to create and provides new experiences for kids. Our programs run in several-week sessions throughout the year. Each Y location offers unique programs to fit that community's needs. 

 

Sports Classes

Youth sports classes at the YMCA start with the basics and create an environment that allows kids to have fun and learn while developing skills that will advance their play over time. Healthy habits are taught and fostered in all Y sports, such as confidence-building, cooperation, having fun, and staying active.

Swim

Swim lessons at the YMCA are specifically tailored to the participant's age, swimming ability, level of physical development, and confidence in the water. The Y ensures a low instructor-to-student ratio to ensure every child gets plenty of personal attention.

Adaptive Programs

The Y promotes and provides access to healthy lifestyles for all children and adults, including those with disabilities. Through positive recreational experiences, we emphasize each person's abilities and individuality to help participants build social skills. Children in our adaptive programs will work toward a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Dance & Cheer

Boys and girls are welcome to discover their favorite way to move at the YMCA. Watch their self-esteem and confidence soar in dance & cheer at the Y.
