About My Home

My Home is a transitional-age program for youth 16-24 designed to reduce homelessness so youth have a safe place to live, a reliable system of support, a sense of purpose, and the self-sufficiency skills needed to live independently. The My Home program prevents homelessness for those that are at-risk and/or marginally housed and provides timely intervention for those currently homeless. Case management services are tailored to each clients unique circumstance, inherent strengths, and goals for the future.

What began as a collaborative project with the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara as an effort to provide low-income housing with supportive services for youth aging out of the foster system, has expanded into an independent program supporting all transient and marginalized youth throughout Santa Barbara County. We work closely with private landlords to secure safe housing options for youth while providing counseling, case management, and rental assistance to achieve a successful transition to independent living.
