We are excited to share that Megan Voshell, Executive Director of the Camarillo Family YMCA, has been selected as Camarillo Women Of The Year! On July 25th, Megan accepted the award at the 57th Annual West Ventura County Business Alliance. We are proud of the work Megan does at the YMCA and excited that he was recognized on this stage; very well deserved!
Megan shared, “I enjoy working at the YMCA because the Y represents community. The members, the volunteers, the program participants, the buzz, the energy, it always brings a smile to my face. We celebrate wins and losses together at the Y. I have been through so much in my life and regardless of the situation, I knew I could find solace and comfort at the Y. I consider the Y my second family. This is truly the reason why I have been with the Y for 23 years.” In regard to winning the award that evening she said, “It is humbling to think I am standing among so many inspirational community leaders. People that I have admired, and many who have encouraged me along the way.”
