The Lompoc Family YMCA is aiming to raise $100,000 during the organization's annual fundraising campaign that officially kicks off Feb. 1 at PCH Street Wine Lounge and Salon in downtown Lompoc.
Money raised helps the Y build community outreach programming, and offer financial assistance and access to child care and fitness programs and services to those in need and of all ages.
Mark Jackson, a Lompoc YMCA board member, was selected to chair the campaign, and Raymundo Maya (pictured on right), a longtime YMCA volunteer and board member, was named honorary chair. Both will assist with meeting the campaign goal.
"Throughout the area, countless people and kids depend on the Y services,” said Regional Executive Director Tommy Speidel (pictured on left). “Through our annual campaign, we’re able to step up and provide these important resources and programs to the greater community of Lompoc.”
Donations to the YMCA can be made to the Lompoc Family YMCA, 201 W. College Ave., or by calling 805-736-3483.
