As families prepare for the new school year, you can help ensure youth in our community are equipped for success from day one.
Join the Channel Islands YMCA for our annual Backpack Give Back and support local children and families by donating new, unused backpacks. Your donation helps provide essential tools that empower students to feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn.
All collected backpacks will be distributed to local youth-serving organizations and through our Youth & Family Services programs across San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
How to Give
1. Drop Off Donations
Bring new or unused backpacks to any YMCA location listed below during the month of July.
2. Shop a Branch Wish List
Prefer to donate from home? Each YMCA branch has its own Amazon Wish List. Simply choose a location, purchase needed items, and have them shipped directly to that branch, making it easy to give exactly what’s needed.
