The Channel Islands YMCA has been serving Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties for over 100 years. We have the presence and partnerships to deliver vital support to our communities. One of our strongest partnerships is with our volunteers. Volunteers help us deliver our mission to all who seek it. Whether you volunteer to be a board member or to be a counselor at camp, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful change in your community. To sustain this great partnership, staff and volunteers work together in clearly defined roles to advance the Y’s cause.
The YMCA needs the time and talent of volunteers who want to work alongside staff at one-time day of service opportunities and in active program roles like youth sports coaches. Organizational volunteer roles are available in fundraising, committees, and boards. Volunteer requirements and commitments vary per location. The YMCA will try its best to work with you to find a role that meets your volunteer goals, skills, and availability. In order to ensure the greatest safety and security for our kids and members, volunteers must agree to a comprehensive background check and training.

Please take a moment to review the Campaigner's Guide and Annual Impact Report to familiarize yourself with all the great things the YMCA does in the community. Digital material can be downloaded from the links below and shared with prospective doors electronically. We are excited you are here and have decided to dedicate your time to the Y.

The purpose of this list is to allow the Team Captains and Campaigners to submit the names of their potential donors and to allow adequate time for the Campaign Office to clear these names. Once the names have been cleared, they will be assigned and donor cards will be distributed at the Kick Off.
The Channel Islands YMCA is a charitable organization dedicated to strengthening our community. When you support the Y, you join an organization that offers well-being and opportunity for children, teens, adults, and families. While cash gifts through our Annual Campaign, for programs like kids to camp, and participation in our planning giving program called Heritage Club are the most utilized, we appreciate other means to help grow our reach.
