The Channel Islands YMCA Youth and Family Services appoints Ashleigh Erving as its new Executive Director
Santa Barbara, CA – September 17, 2020 – The Channel Islands YMCA, a provider of programs in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, announced today the appointment of Ashleigh Erving as Executive Director of the Channel Islands YMCA Youth and Family Services.
“Ms. Erving brings a broad range of experience in family support services, counseling services, and behavioral health to the YMCA,” said Margo Byrne, CEO of Channel Islands YMCA. “We are excited to have Ms. Erving join the Y, she will be a wonderful asset to the organization.”
Erving brings over 16 years of expertise to the Channel Islands YMCA. Most recently she served as the Program Director of the Family Services Agency of Santa Barbara. She played a critical role in the organization by instituting data-driven approaches to improve the quality of service and community collaborations through key partnerships. Her previous experiences include child abuse and family counseling, at-risk youth rehabilitation services, and managing family resource centers. As a licensed clinical social worker, Erving will play a critical role in bringing important services to the community.
